Project summary
We are recruiting Radiation Oncologists based in Europe with 10+ years of clinical experience and extensive expertise in Head & Neck contouring to participate in a paid AI annotation project supporting the development of next-generation radiation therapy planning technologies.
Selected clinicians will review Head & Neck cases and perform expert contouring of either lymph nodes or organs at risk (OARs), depending on their assigned project team. Contouring will follow established clinical and project-specific protocols and internationally recognized consensus guidelines, including Grégoire et al., Brouwer et al., and RTOG.
By applying their real-world clinical expertise, participating Radiation Oncologists will help create a high-quality clinical reference dataset to support the development, evaluation, and validation of advanced AI solutions in Radiation Oncology.
Project details
- Format: 100% remote and asynchronous.
- Estimated Workload: Approximately 75 hours over 3 months.
- Weekly Commitment: Approximately 6–10 hours per week.
- Expected Kick-off: Approximately 2 weeks from now, following clinician selection and onboarding.
- Expected Project Duration: Approximately 4 months.
- Project Timeline: Expected to run from September through December 2026.
- Workflow: Flexible and asynchronous, allowing clinicians to complete assigned cases independently within the established project timeline.
- Quality Review: Contouring work will follow standardized project protocols, with quality review incorporated into the workflow.
Responsibilities
Selected Radiation Oncologists will:
- Review assigned Head & Neck cases in a structured, web-based annotation environment.
- Delineate lymph nodes or organs at risk (OARs), depending on the assigned project team.
- Perform contouring according to established clinical and project-specific protocols, following recognized consensus guidelines including Grégoire et al., Brouwer et al., and RTOG.
- Complete approximately 100 assigned cases within the established project timeline.
- Work independently within a structured, protocol-driven workflow.
- Follow established quality assurance requirements and complete revisions or additional reviews when required.
Requirements
- Radiation Oncologist based in Europe.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Head & Neck contouring.
- Strong experience delineating lymph nodes and/or organs at risk (OARs) in Head & Neck cases.
- Familiarity with internationally recognized Head & Neck contouring guidelines, including Grégoire et al., Brouwer et al., and RTOG.
- Appropriate medical credentials and licensure applicable to the clinician's country of practice.
- Comfortable working independently in a protocol-driven, web-based environment.
- Ability to follow standardized contouring protocols and quality assurance requirements.
