US ABR Board-Certified, MQSA-qualified Radiologist — Mammo & DBT Annotation (Adjudicator) (FJI00427)

United States . Remote

Project summary

Medcase is looking for a U.S.-based, ABR-certified, fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist with 10+ years of post-residency experience to serve as an Adjudicator in a remote mammography AI evaluation project.

This opportunity involves reviewing discrepancies between independent radiologist annotations of breast findings identified on 2D mammography, synthesized 2D, and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT).

As an Adjudicator, you will apply your clinical expertise and knowledge of the ACR BI-RADS lexicon to resolve differences in interpretation and establish reliable reference-standard decisions.

Your contributions will support the development of a high-quality mammography dataset used in the development and regulatory evaluation of an AI algorithm for breast cancer detection.

The project will begin with a small sample phase, with the potential to expand to approximately 10,000 mammography studies following client approval.

Project details

  • Location: United States | Fully remote and asynchronous

  • Platform: RedBrick AI

  • Sample Phase: Adjudication of discrepancies arising from approximately 1–3 independently annotated studies.

  • Estimated Time per Study: Approximately 10–15 minutes.

  • Sample Commitment: Approximately 1 hour, including training.

  • Sample Deadline: November 6, 2026.

  • Potential Full Project: Up to approximately 10,000 studies overall, subject to client approval.

  • Production Timeline and Workload: To be confirmed after sample evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Review mammography studies with discrepancies between two independent radiologist annotators.

  • Evaluate differences in finding detection, localization, characterization, and study-level labeling.

  • Determine which interpretation most accurately aligns with the clinical definitions and established annotation protocol.

  • Establish the final ground-truth decision for cases requiring adjudication.

  • Apply the ACR BI-RADS lexicon and standardized clinical criteria consistently.

  • Document or escalate discrepancies that cannot be confidently resolved under the existing guidelines.

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency when reviewing assigned discrepancy cases.

  • Complete adjudication assignments within agreed timelines and batch targets.

  • Follow the established independent review workflow to avoid cross-review contamination unless explicitly instructed otherwise.

  • Support quality assurance by providing clarifications or completing additional reviews and corrections when requested.

Requirements

  • U.S.-based, ABR-certified Breast Imaging Radiologist.

  • Completed Breast Imaging fellowship.

  • MQSA-qualified interpreting physician.

  • 10 years of post-residency radiology experience.

  • Extensive experience in screening and diagnostic mammography, including DBT.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the ACR BI-RADS lexicon.

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to independently resolve interpretation discrepancies.
